Back to case studies AI & Family History

MemoryOS

Problem

Family stories, photos and documents are scattered and are often lost between generations.

Approach

Built phase by phase: identity and family roles first, then a media pipeline with deduplication and privacy-aware access, a chronological timeline, an embedding pipeline with semantic search, and finally operations tooling and a digital-legacy release engine.

Architecture

Clean Architecture on ASP.NET Core 10 with EF Core on SQL Server and ASP.NET Core Identity (including TOTP two-factor). A Razor Pages UI installable as a PWA, pluggable file storage, and OpenAI or NVIDIA clients behind a single configurable provider switch. Designed for traditional Plesk-compatible hosting, with no Docker.

Technology

ASP.NET Core, C#, Entity Framework Core, SQL Server, ASP.NET Core Identity, Razor Pages, PWA, OpenAI, Clean Architecture

Features

Family tree with derived relationships, photo/video/audio/document pipeline, timeline of births, deaths, achievements and memories, retrieval-augmented AI Family Historian, events with QR-coded guest photo uploads, audit trail and platform admin console, rate limiting and health checks, and digital-legacy messages released on a date, after inactivity, or manually.

Outcome

Phases 1 and 2, the first step of Phase 3 and the first three steps of Phase 4 are implemented, with unit and integration tests.
